Self-Hosted
Self-Hosted

v2026.07.20

TL;DR

The first calendar-versioned self-hosted release. Connect your own MCP servers to Thunders AI, delete test runs, report bugs straight into your connected tracker, and pick up a batch of export and reliability fixes.

FEATURE
  • Calendar-versioned images: self-hosted images are now numbered with a calendar version, so you can tell at a glance which release you're running.
  • Custom MCP connectors: connect your own MCP servers to Thunders AI alongside the built-in integrations, from a redesigned connectors page. Self-hosted deployments can also allow plain-HTTP connectors for internal tools not served over HTTPS.
  • Soft-delete test runs: delete a standalone test run or a full test-set run instead of it being permanent. Deleting a set run recalculates its pass rate and status, and deleted runs stay recoverable.
  • Report bugs through your connected tracker: reporting a bug from a test run, or asking in chat, now opens a ticket directly with your connected integration (Notion, Linear, Jira, ClickUp, Azure DevOps, and more).
  • Apps get a full details page: Apps now open in a full page, like Environments.
IMPROVEMENT
  • Thunders Copilot is now Thunders AI: all user-facing copy now says "Thunders AI." Same capabilities, new name.
  • Personal integration credentials: connecting an integration is now personal and scoped to your project, instead of shared across every project member.
  • Smarter dropdown handling: the improved dropdown interaction handling is now enabled by default on all test runs.
FIX
  • PDF report exports: exports now include the full document instead of just the first page, with aligned step numbering, the right font, and your organization logo rendering correctly.
  • "Generate random" steps: steps that generate a random value now produce a new value each run, instead of repeating the same one.
  • Interrupted vs. failed runs: a run whose browser crashes is now marked interrupted instead of failed, so you can tell a real bug from an environment hiccup.
  • S3-compatible storage: fixed the S3 configuration validator and template to match renamed self-host keys, so S3-compatible stores work correctly.
  • UI polish: "scroll up" and "scroll down" steps are recognized correctly, plus fixes for a flickering report popover, blank list grids, double-firing hotkeys, and retry groups not loading their attempts.
