Test run breakpoints, Xray auto-sync, and per-environment execution settings
TL;DR
Set a breakpoint to pause and resume a run mid-test, let a step update a variable that every other test case sees, auto-sync results to Xray on run completion, and set default execution settings once per environment so every test case picks them up automatically.
FEATURE
- Breakpoints: set a breakpoint on any step in the Test Case Editor. A run pauses there instead of continuing, shows a countdown on the Resume button, and picks back up from that step when you resume. Editing a step behind the breakpoint restarts the paused run so it reflects the edit.
- Variables that update mid-run: a step can now change a project or environment variable's value, or clear it, while a run is in progress. The new value applies globally, so every other test case or run that references the variable sees it, not just the one that set it, and the run view shows how stale the current value is.
- Xray auto-sync: turn on the new auto-sync toggle for a project and mapped test cases push their pass or fail results to Xray automatically as soon as a run finishes. The manual sync button still works for a one-off re-sync.
- Default execution settings per environment: set browser, resolution, device, proxy, certificate, and theme settings once per environment; every test case picks them up automatically unless it has its own saved settings.
- Excel data files for batch execute: upload .xlsx files alongside CSV as a batch-execute data source.
IMPROVEMENT
- Mobile devices: devices are now routed by region and show their geography instead of a provider suffix, live device streaming shows in the preview panel during pre-warm and through the run instead of only post-hoc screenshots, and the device PIN is shown as a toggle.
- Onboarding: a captcha blocking login is now diagnosed with a guided bypass, and a new HTTP error diagnosis offers a fix-and-retry loop.
- PDF export: added an evidence toggle to the export dialog with per-step evidence now embedded in the report, and the export language pre-selects from your current UI language.
- Test runs: a running row's elapsed duration now ticks live instead of waiting for a refresh, and the relay execution cluster now shows on test run reports.
- Visual Compare: toggle between the full-page overlay and per-diff crops.
- Navigation: the app now opens your last visited project by default.
- Localization and copy: tool-call durations now show in your chosen language instead of the browser's.
FIX
- Test execution reliability: a run-level abort, like a dropped connection, now shows a clear banner above the steps list instead of failing with no visible reason, and failed-run notifications no longer arrive as duplicates.
- Thunders MCP: a custom MCP connector now explains why its sign-in failed, with a specific reason, instead of failing without telling you what to fix.
- Auth: when a silent token renewal fails, Thunders recovers it interactively instead of signing you out.
- UI polish: corrected the toast icon's vertical alignment, made wheel-zoom scale by mouse delta so one notch moves a consistent amount, moved the breakpoint countdown into the Resume button's tooltip, and stopped Enter from restarting the Project Setup wizard.
- Visual Compare: fixed a color mismatch by flattening alpha over white when decoding images.
- Data accuracy: test cases are now correctly filtered by their assigned test plan, a File Compare field is limited to one usable file reference, run-settings data files are filtered server side, and paging keeps loading test runs until the list fills its scroll container.
- Accessibility reports: accessibility scans now run on every page a test asserts against, not only the final page, and eleven more RGAA accessibility checks are now decided automatically instead of requiring a manual pass or fail.
